Artist:  Choose from the 20 artists that I feature this month.
Skills:  working in Photoshop, working with video, taking better pictures.

1.  Visit the link below and choose an Artist that you are interested in learning more about.  Send that artist an email to try and make a personal connection.  Just like last month, I would like you to find several good examples of the artists work.  Print and showcase these in your portfolio notebook with a very short bio and opinion statement.  We will share in class and try to continue using famous artists to influence our work.

6.  Propose an idea for a class video that we can make that will involve everyone and allow us to work together in Adobe Premiere. Find examples to share with us in class so we can vote. Begin recording short 10-30 second clips that interest you.  We can all work separately if that is where the interest lies.

Prompts for LP 1-Interactive Multimedia

9-13
check out this link and test one of the tricks while you take a self portrait.
10 tricks

Depth of Field?     ISO?    Aperture?  ......let's focus on how to use the equipment that we have in school effectively.  Please choose a DSLR to shoot pictures with this month.

Learn how to change the settings to match different locations and styles.

Begin importing all of your batch and deleting your bad photos immediately-this shows maturity and helps you define a better photo while removing distracting images from your batch.

Carry something with you to save your work and make it portable.  It is not anyone else's responsibility.

Edit in school.  Spend most of your days editing in small groups.  Set editing goals.......work with me to finish things and develop a sense of task completion.

Part of this class involves entering contests in the community and visiting museums and art exhibitions throughout the year to document and view professional work.-please make yourself portable and do things outside of school when prompted.

To Do:

1.  Self portrait:  black and white, square format, edited, displayed with iso, f stop, and shutter speed for discussion.  Printed (learn to use your timer.  Take your own shot.

2.  Short video that explains your most important goal.  Solo project.....does not need to include your face or specific style.  Must include dialogue, images that lead us as an audience, and a storyboard.

3.  Visit the student entry portal to the reflections contest and begin your artist statement and entry.
